The Xavier Mansion originally consisted of two main floors and a basement. In recent years,
two sub-basements levels have been constructed as well. All above ground floors are accessible
via two elevator banks and one grand staircase. Both elevators also serve the primary basement,
but access to the sub-basement levels is limited to a secret pathway from the primary basement.
Despite the fact that the mansion has been demolished on several occasions, every effort has been
made to rebuild it while maintaining the architectural and historical integrity of the structure.
The public role of the mansion is a school, in reality it teaches mutants how to use their powers
responsibily. However, that does not excuse the pupils from more traditional forms of education,
and classes are held within the mansion.
These pages deal with the main levels used by the school, the floors utilised by the X-Men are
sub-basements and can be found on the X-Men Facilities Page.
