In the student wing there are 8 student dormitories in all, 4 for boys and 4 for girls, with each room having ample space for four students. There are also bathroom facilites, a quiet study room, a computer room, and a common room for when students would rather not hang out with their teachers.

The X-Men's wing is made up of 14 bedroom's, with each X-Man's room is tailored to his or her needs and design wishes (within reason). This is to provide a genuine 'home' atmosphere away from the more treacherous hours spent on misssions.These design wishes can vary greatly. There are also 5 large full bathrooms.

There are two large bedrooms at the front of the first floor, one of which belongs to the X-Men's first couple - Scott Summers and Jean Grey.

Due to tight security considerations preventing the use of a full-time housekeeper, students and X-Men must assume the responsibility of keeping their rooms in order, to help with this there is an automated housekeeping and laundry facility on the first floor in addition to the laundry room found in the basement.

Computer terminals can be found in each room, which connect with the main computer and can also, when necessary, be used for internal communications.

Professor Xavier's quarters are also on this level.
